The Christmas Shelter at The Basement The Christmas Shelter at The Basement

A user-led organisation leading the way in addiction Recovery.

The Basement Project is an independent, peer-led organisation that offers support and inspiration to those who have been involved with alcohol and substance misuse, the opportunity of a new sustained abstinent lifestyle.
Why the community needs this charity

The Basement saves lives - working with people in chaos to provide a safety net, through to those who want to change and recover. Our service is unique and fills the gaps in the treatment for substance and alcohol abuse.

Results and outcomes

We feed 70 people twice weekly and have supported dozens this year through our recovery programme. People who require a detoxification are now having successful outcomes due to the peer-led support from The Basement.
