To improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people with sight loss. Whoever they are, whatever they do, wherever they find themselves. We support in many different ways though services, visits, information, guidance, advocacy and support.
Why the community needs usWe provide a home visiting service, assisted transport, 48 local social & activity clubs, access to specialist equipment via our four contact centres, community outreach service (for those in rural areas) an audio talking library service, low vision assessments, braille, audio and large print transcription service, bi-monthly newsletter, Sight Care Advisors at two hospitals, an adapted rehabilitation kitchen and a charity shop.
