Our aim is to reduce lonliness and isolation and find solutions to every day issues. We provide intervention programes for individuals and families to improve their well-being, rebuild their lives and achieve their dreams and goals. Individuals and families are supported with accessible confidential drop in services in community settings. Improve community cohesion with walks/trips with access to a counsellor. Mental health programmes to elivate common disorders such as depression and anxiety
Our services help to decreased symptoms of depression (28% of clients present with symptoms of depression) Informal introduction to formal counselling services Increased client referals from community events and activities Access to previously unaccessible and unaffordable services to excluded sections of the community in the local area Increased take up of our services by refugee and migrant groups Clients take up unpaid voluntary work, mentoring and studies leading to paid work
This project aims to explore with parents, ways of becoming successful, motivated and ambitious in order to achieve a better life in all areas of parental learning. Parents will learn how to improve their awareness of their child's transitional stages, which could be going from home to school for the first time. They will learn about mirroring behaviour and the impact it can have on their family, verbal and non verbal communication and anger management.Also learn childs developmental stages. read more
The main focus is to provide individual clients who want to see a counsellor/mentor the chance to have a 50 minute one-to-one session in a prviate room. This project offers listening from the counsellor. It explores clients difficulties, helps clients to reflect on any anxiety. It allows clients a chance to talk about whatever is on their mind in a non-judgemental environment. This project enables clients to reflect and make changes in their lives for the best. read more
