Results and outcomes

Age Concern Basingstoke places great emphasis on reducing loneliness and isolation amongst local older people. Our Information & Advice service highlights benefits that are available and we assist with many applications to improve income and quality of life.

Tea & Company Roadshow

Age Concern volunteers will meet with local residents to offer a regular social group where older local people can come and meet like minded people, play games, talk about the good old days etc. Also in attendance will be an Information & Advice person, so that people can ask about concern and be made aware of the support available to them, in particular benefits they are entitled to. We also have the ability to link into a 'hardship' fund should this be necessary. read more

Volunteers Required

Volunteers are always welcome to assist with the many services we provide. They directly contribute to the well-being of older people. Without them we would not be able to provide our services. We also have opportunities for reception work, help with events and fundraising activities. Volunteering can be very rewarding and fulfilling. Contact us if you can spare some time on a regular basis.
