RecoveryTimes

RecoveryTimes is our quarterly newsletter written by those people who have directly benefited from The Basement Recovery Programme and who have achieved abstinence over their drug or alcohol addiction. The newsletter is distributed in hardcopy to 1000 people and local organisations (currently limited by funding), and to 1000's more electronically. The newsletter covers important events and news regarding Recovery in Calderdale and throughout the Yorkshire region.
Why they need our service

Our newsletter, RecoveryTimes helps to communicate the message that Recovery from drug and alcohol addiction is possible, and it's possible right here in the Calderdale community! It also helps to reduce the stigma associated with such an illness as well as informing the community what's going on socially and strategically.

Plan and expected results

Our Newsletter helps to inform the general public that addiction is an illness. By raising awareness and by helping people to achieve abstinence and into recovery we help to reduce the associated health and social costs of alcohol and drug use harm. Alcohol alone is a causal factor in 60 types of disease and costs Calderdale £75m a year. It is estimated that our unique recovery programme is already saving £2.4m per year. By attracting more people to it, we can only add to this saving.

Final Results

The January Issue is almost complete. We have a few remaining places for sponsored ads. We are fairly flexible on size and position of the ads. Please contact us for more information.
