To maintain, improve and advance the education of the public in the arts generally and in particular, by the promotion and production of educational dance/drama and other aesthetic arts expecially those activities which seek to make the arts relevant to the community. To provide performance opportunity for underpriviledged young people between the ages of 13-19 irrespective of their colour, sex, religion, creed etc thus enabling them to seek and obtain useful skills and occupation in later life
BDYD benefits the community by offering integrated dance and movement sessions to local people. We are keen to work with everyone and provide projects that are modern, dynamic and fun.
BDYD provides opportunities that inspire, empower and develop people. Past projects have seen young people returning and remaining in education. We have built self esteem and confidence leading to young adults gaining employment. We have also engaged with a number of people and taught the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle through exercise.
