The Basingstoke Young Diabetics Group exits to provide support, continuing education, and networking events for the families of young Diabetics (age 0-22) based at North Hants Hospital under the care of Dr. Hind and the paediatric diabetic team.
Why the community needs usWe support over 130 children aged 0-18 and their families affected by type 1 Diabetes in North Hants. by providing family support,continuing education,and networking events for both children and their carers.
Our impact on the communityGiving families confidence in dealing with the needs of a chronically ill child ,encouraging and developing their independence,and assisting them in moving on to adulthood with a good grasp of how to look after their condition.
