Calderdale DART Fundraising project

Calderdale DART has been providing an advice and information service for over 25 years. Our main funder is Calderdale Council but we have received funds from other sources over the years to provide for different projects including an Outreach service; a home visiting service and a Tribunal Representation Service. Currently we also receive some funding form the Calderdale and Kirklees NHS Trust to deliver an advice Service to Cancer patients, many of who have terminal conditions.

Why they need our service

DART provides a specific advice and information service for people with disabilities and Carers.The funding we receive does not cover all of our costs and we need to fundraise each year just to break even. Our service provides a much needed resource for the community and our workers assist clients in many different ways to access services and to claim social security benefits.

Plan and expected results

The Fundraising Committee meets at regular intervals to monitor the effectiveness of our fundraising activities. We measure the results of our success in terms of how much we raise from different events
