Our woodland retreat is specifically designed as a stress-free refuge for people living with Cancer.

TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS IN THE COMMUNITY BY THE ACQUISITION, MANAGEMENT AND PROTECTION OF A WOODLAND AND SANCTUARY. TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF EDEN-ROSE COPPICE IN SUDBURY, SUFFOLK.
Why the community needs this charity

Providing a natural retreat for the terminally ill, it is also about giving young people, especially with disabilities, serious illness or living with behavioural problems, the help, care and skills they need to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life providing an unquestionable sense of satisfaction. Eden-Rose Coppice Trust promotes an additional healthy active lifestyle allowing a break from the structured classroom or clinical care, picking up great experiences and new skills along the way.

Results and outcomes

Medical evidence states that many of the most effective settings for recovering from fatigue or illness involve the natural environment. Such restorative environments are in short supply in many urban areas, if not nonexistent. Unfortunately, environments that have the opposite effect are rampant. Our site addresses that need. We provide a true sense of worth and self-esteem with our community volunteers with the realisation that they are giving to people living with life limiting illnesses.
