We are a support group for people with mental health and dementia issues. www.centralnottsmind.org By providing individualised support and activities the impact of our services is greater. We respect the people we support and ensure they are safe comfortable and welcomed at our services.

Why the community needs this charity

The services are provided in the community and people can access with ease. Referrals are not always necessary in the first instance. Providing a welcoming and comforting environment the aim is to improve mental health and prevent admissions to metal health hospitals. The community benefits from these and also the knowledge that access to our services can be when they need this most.

Results and outcomes

People using our services have been able to maintain and stabilise their mental health. This helps to keep their independence and prevents deterioration of their general health too. Many service users have become volunteers to help and support others, by working with them and using their experiences to ensure people get most direct guidance.

Mansfield Support Centre

From the warm welcome as soon as you walk in, then to be offered a drink of tea/coffee or a soft drink and then be able to discuss the issues and a plan implemented to address these, to the meals that can be purchased.
