Cycle for Work Youth Apprenticeships

Community and Business Leaders from Calderdale are undertaking the huge Lands End to John O'Groats 900 mile bike ride on 20 April 2013. They are raising money and awareness of the challenges for young people finding work and experience. The money the riders raise will be used to fund over 20 youth apprenticeships in Calderdale.

Why they need our service

The Community Foundation for Calderdale and local business leaders are working together because, as Steve Duncan said, "With over 1 million young people out of work, and with 2 teenage sons soon to add to that number, I thought it was worth putting myself through the pain barrier to cycle the 900 or so miles that is the Cycle for Work challenge to raise funds to finance youth apprenticeships in Calderdale."
