Help Chiddingfold Help Itself - a village fund managed by the Community Foundation for Surrey (CFS)
Chiddingfold Community Fund (CCF) encourages local giving so that as a village we can develop a greater capacity to respond to local issues. Working in partnership with the
Community Foundation for Surrey, we aim to build up a permanent fund that will support the needs of our village and enable people who love Chiddingfold to donate money for the benefit of the local community. We need your help to support local causes; the more the CCF grows, the more grants we can give out to meet the diverse needs of our village.
Why the community needs usThe CCF is a permanent, professionally managed fund to which people who love Chiddingfold can either donate now, or leave a legacy in the future. The long term objective is to build a capital fund of at least £250,000 that will be held 'in perpetuity' to make a significant contribution to meeting the charitable needs of our village. It aims to encourage the efforts of existing groups in the village by offering grants to help meet local needs.
Our impact on the communityAs a village our needs are varied. The CCF has a dedicated panel of local people who can award grants from the interest on the fund capital to support people, projects and activities in Chiddingfold. Organisations granted awards include St Mary's Primary School, the village hall, the Cricket Club, the Scouts, the Baptist Church, St Mary's Church, two youth groups and a club for the elderly. The CCF has also raised money to repair the village forge which was on the register of Buildings at Risk.
