Our work increases confidence and raises self-esteem and is aimed at children that have emotional and behavioural difficulties and issues with discipline as well as those with special needs. Our work provides a unique way for children to safely explore their views and feelings towards bullying and anti-social behaviour, for example, which will impact on their understanding and behaviour within the communities in which they live.
Our integration and inclusion work shop, for example, enables special needs and mainstream children to work alongside each other and helps remove the stigma of 'special needs' helping mainstream children grow up with a more positive attitude towards 'disability'. By the end of the project, to watch an able bodied child help, of their own volition, a child with, say, autism, paint a puppet or simply have a giggle together - it's magic.
This can range from help at the Festival and volunteers for fundraising. Please contact us for more details.
