Chants provides workshops to build confidence and self-esteem. working with young people who have drug, alcohol, educational and behavioral problems. We take them from the streets into positive musical activities, tutoring productive self expession.
Why the community needs usChants bridges the gap between educational, physical and behavioural acceptance warranted in a functional community, and young people suffering the direct effects of social depravation. We work well with both groups and have their belief in our work.
Our impact on the community Chants has worked with well over 300 young people, who in turn have hosted over 30 live showcases, launched a nationwide TV campaign [itv fixers] as well as secured college spaces with many getting NVQs; and offer voluntary time to assist overs.
Chants welcomes volunteers with a musical background this could be an engineer, instrumentalist, or song writer, we are also looking for volunteers willing to be part of a musical enterprise and willing to help young people from deprived backgrounds.
