A local charity that helps people with cerebral palsy to fulfill their potential through sport.

CP Sport cares passionately about improving the lives of people with cerebral palsy through sport - especially children and young people. Our vital work helps people to: - Overcome the challenges of their disability; - Fulfil their personal potential; - Live healthier, happier and more independent lives.
Why the community needs this charity

CP Sport is a family-focused charity that cares about improving the lives of people with physical disabilities - especially those with cerebral palsy. We overcome the challenges people with the cerebral palsy have and provide sport and recreational activities that people with the condition crave. "My mum went on the internet and found out that CP Sport was running a football event, I went and took part as a one-handed goalkeeper and that was the best thing that's ever happened to me"

Results and outcomes

Our high quality athletics, football, swimming, table cricket and multi-sports programmes give people with cerebral palsy chance to experience the life-changing benefits of participating in sport. Annually we fulfil the sporting needs of 1,500 people including introducing over 600 new children to sport. Our educational activities increase knowledge and awareness of cerebral palsy through information services, training workshops, engaging with local communities and assisting support networks.

Nottingham Multi-Sports Day

Our Nottingham Multi-Sports Day will capture the interest generated by the 2012 Paralympic Games and give local children with cerebral palsy the chance to enjoy playing sport - many for the first time. Local children will have the chance to play a range of adapted sports including athletics, boccia, football, polybat and table cricket. Up to 30 children will take part and will benefit from opportunities to build friendships and experience inclusion rather than exclusion. read more
