Active things to do for all ages

The Deans Festival is an annual funday community event raising funds for local children's causes.

The Deans Festival is a community organisation with an annual funday in May. We have a focus on enabling people with special needs to enjoy our main event's activities and attractions. We truly believe there should be no barriers to fun and friendship. The Deans Festival funday is run in May for and by the community - several thousand people attend. All organisers are volunteers. Please help us to help our community in the Woodingdean, Ovingdean and Rottingdean area of Brighton.
Why the community needs this charity

The Deans Festival funday is run in May for and by the community - several thousand people attend. The Deans Festival fosters links between three villages on the edge of Brighton, with support from local schools. The main event is a community celebration of what we can achieve working together. We aim to raise much needed funds while providing a fantastic experience for families in our local area.

Results and outcomes

The Deans Festival is a popular annual event and has helped to forge links between people, groups and schools. All profits raised by the Deans Festival are shared between worthy children's causes in the community.

Alix is on the run!

Deans Festival's Alix is running around lots hoping to encourage you to part with a few pounds to support this year's funday event. First, Alix ran the Brighton Half Marathon in February and completed the course in 2hrs and 20mins. Now she's trying for the whole 26.2 miles of the Brighton Marathon on April 14. (Alix is over 40 and not designed for running so this is a major challenge). Please donate to sponsor her efforts to help us raise funds for the fabulous Deans Festival 2013 - thank you. read more
