Afternoon Tea with the High Sheriff
Destiny Support has been involved in delivering services to the community for over 2 years now. Its core service enables people in the community to access services they would not normally know how to access. Our ability to provide a discreet, confidential service raises our reputation in Slough area. We receive many recommendations which allows us to recruit volunteers to support us in achieving our objectives. In the last year, we have a total of 10 volunteer and sessional staff.
Over 200 clients have benefited from our service so far. Outcomes range from help with finding accommodation, claiming benefits, finding voluntary work, 1:1 basic courses or activities such as 'Fit for life' for the elderly to reduce social exclusion. Destiny Support also helps families with finding schools for their children, applying for a bus pass for the children, managing their finances, finding and keeping their accommodation or applying for the right benefits & form filling.
