Dressability

Unit 3, York House, Edison Park, Dorcan, Swindon

A clothing adaptation service for older people and those with physical and/or learning disabilities.

Finding clothes that fit, are practical, comfortable and easy to take on and off, and which reflect a personal style can be hard for anyone. For those with a physical or learning disability, young or old, can be a real challenge. Non-standard shapes, limited mobility, arthritic joints and behavioural difficultes are just some of the many challenges faced by people (and their carers) in their every day lives. In adapting clothes we can offer an affordable solution to people who need it most.

Why the community needs us

We offer an affordable, convenient garment adaptation and alteration service for people of all ages with a disability living in Swindon and north Wiltshire, and for those over 60 living in Swindon. This service can include a free home visit, collection and delivery.

Our impact on the community

We can also offer a design and made to measure service when necessary, and can give advice and information about specialist clothing. A mail order service is available if a fitting is not required.
