The strength of Eureka! is that we reach beyond the child to engage the whole family: our play-based learning approach encourages dialogue and questioning between adults and children, and shared discovery. Our galleries and outreach programmes provide aspirational opportunities for ALL children, engaging them in subjects ranging from science, health and well-being to role-play, drama and story-telling, linking with the national curriculum to enrich the learning experience.
The informal learning experiences offered by Eureka! have a powerful impact on children's social, physical, emotional and intellectual development. They build creativity, concentration, coordination and curiosity, inspiring a lifelong love of learning. Our galleries offer interactive settings where children and adults can come together in creative play and the delight of discovery, stimulating children's curiosity and encouraging them to explore and think for themselves.
Play 20 is our campaign to encourage families to play together more. Coinciding with Eureka!'s 20th Birthday Play 20 is our mission to remind parents that play is simple and enjoyable, and can take place anytime anywhere. The website - www.play20.org - provides parents with simple and easy to access ideas on how to play with their children in a range of settings and environments. As experts in playful learning Eureka! is passionate about the power and wider benefits of learning through play. read more
