Free Kicks Foundation raises money to give deserving children fantastic days out at football.
Provide trips to football matches for children referred by hospitals, children with special needs and children who are particularly deserving.
Why the community needs usSo far we have given over 130 children or young adults days out at football, they are nominated by hospitals, hospices or other charities. The recipients either go along as mascots for the day, where they get to meet players, receive a kit and go onto the pitch ahead of the matches. If mascot packages aren't available, we will treat the children and their families to hospitality at their favourite team, including a meal and executive seats.
Our impact on the communityThe 'Kicks' as we call them give the children and their families respite from their illnesses. The looks on the children's faces when they meet their heroes or receive their new kit, shows how much the days mean to the children and their parents.
We have also provided season tickets to special schools and young carer organisations in Peterborough and Hartlepool, giving the chance for children who don't get the chance to go to football the opportunity to experience a match.
