Community based education, support and social inclusion project in deprived areas of Norwich.

NR5 Project (working name Future Projects) is a community based charity working in the fields of social inclusion and community development in Norwich, offering a range of programmes and activities to engage, encourage and inspire young people and adults.
Why the community needs this charity

1) Baseline - support service in areas such as jobs and training, debt, housing, benefits and learning opportunities. People access the service because they need some help/support 2) Future Education - helps to support young people who have been excluded from mainstream education and have emotional/behavioural difficulties to achieve qualifications 3) Future Radio - community radio station offering lots of volunteering opportunities 4) Future Studios - music engagement programmes

Results and outcomes

People accessing our services; - feel better able to support their families - have improved quality of life - achieve qualifications and improve their education - secure a job - feel more confident about themselves - learn to take more control of their lives - feel inspired - individual feels less at risk from domestic abuse - family relationship improved - debt problem resolved - less socially isolated - aspirations raised - literacy and numeracy skills improved - access positive activities
