Young people can help build a sustainable future
Global Generation are developing new ways for young people in urban communities to work with local people and businesses. Young people from schools, housing estates and hostels for homeless young people grow herbs and vegetables in school grounds, local green spaces and rooftop allotments; learn how to prepare healthy food; and compost food waste. They are also involved in social enterprise and ethical business by selling the produce they grow - enabling them to gain important life skills.
