H2W is aimed at children and young people who are at risk of being marginalised by society, from disadvantaged backgrounds, those at risk of becoming NEET or who are NEET, at risk of being excluded from school and poor attenders. Our particular expertise is working with vulnerable students who have complex needs, moderate learning difficulties, autism, dyslexia, and /or emotional behavioural and social difficulties. We intend to support these learners back into work, school or college.
H2W have had a positive inpact on many young peoples lives. Young people who were refusing to attend school have followed courses with us for one or two days per week and schools have noted that their attendance and behaviour has started to improve and eventually by the end of their time with us, have been able to reintegrate successfully back into school. Students with school phobia have success fully completed a course with us and continued on to college and work successfully.
We are always looking for people who enjoy working with children and young adults. People who have skills in Art, Computers, farming, small animal and pet care, construction, numeracy, literacy support. You would be able to support our staff in helping young people to gain valuable life and social skills, while learning practical skills and improving their literacy and numeracy.
