Cambridge African Network received an award
The Awards scheme offers young people's projects access to vital financial support. Relatively modest sums can bring projects to life and enable young people to participate in positive activities that benefit both themselves and their communities. To cover the costs of managing and distributing the Fund, CCF retains 10% (this includes the Localgiving 3% commission) of donations received into the Fund.
Feedback from previous grants demonstrates the value of the award scheme. For example SPICE Guides, a Guiding group for girls with disabilities received a grant for a social event. The event was particularly enjoyed by twins with Cerebral Palsy who had never been able to attend Guides before. The annual awards ceremony gives young people an opportunity to be recognised for their achievements in front of an audience including local dignitaries, donors to the scheme and local press.
The High Sheriff's Award Scheme is funded from donations to the High Sheriff's Fund. Each year the High Sheriff seeks donations and sponsorship from local people, companies and public agencies. Help is needed to raise money to benefit local grass root youth groups. Please support the Award Scheme by making a donation to the High Sheriff's Fund using the link on this site. read more
