To assist homeless families and individuals in the Peterborough area who need emergency support.

Sadly, for all sorts of unforeseeable reasons, families can be threatened with homelessness or find themselves homeless. Cross Keys Homes, the largest housing provider in Peterborough, provides hostel accommodation for such families when required and this often leads onto permanent housing. However, such families often need extra support and this is why this fund has been set up.

Why the community needs this charity

By offering help to people when they most need support, we can ease some of the tremendous pressures, help people to survive and hopefully move forward in their lives.

Results and outcomes

Families have been helped in many ways including emergency food parcels, toiletries or help with paying for a reconditioned cooker or washing machine. Families are always provided with the necessary goods or vouchers. In some cases support in Life Skills is beneficial and Cross Keys Homes also provides this in the form of cooking sessions, practical skills, making decisions, budgeting and problem solving.
