Raising funds to support people with a diagnosis of cancer in Hunts to take back their lives
To support people recovering from or living with cancer, in Hunts, who want to get back on with their lives. Sharing with them evidence based information on diet, exercise and emotional well being in order to empower them to join with health professionals to better manage their cancer.
Why the community needs usHelping people achieve a new normality after cancer or whilst living with cancer benefits not only the individual but their support group too. Our purpose is to help people understand how they can give their bodies the best chance to be healthy together with active support in dealing with any emotional issues. They are encouraged to get back to exercise and to eat healthily in order that they can get the most out of their lives.
Our impact on the communityA range of activities are already being delivered which include; Yoga,Meditation,Creative Writing,Healthy Cooking,Art,Pilates and our regular Friday drop in session where we offer company and conversation. Taking part in these activities with like minded people is hugely beneficial. We hold bi-annual conferences bringing the latest evidence based lifestyle changes delivered by expert speakers .
