The services we provide contribute towards the well-being of all. Through education, cultural activities and programmes that include Indian Classical Dance, Bharat Natyam, Yoga, Henna painting, language school, youth activities, health and welfare surgeries, we continually strive towards social inclusion and interaction with the wider community - encouraging unity and diversity.
Through cultural education, young people have gained cultural knowledge as well as social skills such as self confidence, self esteem; elderly members are less isolated, the value of the family unit is better recognized and realized. The organization encourages individuals to participate in the organization and delivery of activities - thus allowing them to gain skills, knowledge and experience to enhance their employment and career prospects and their sense of belonging.
Create an artistic spectacle to celebrate 'Light'. A professionally managed stage will be set up where performances by individuals, groups/workshops/demonstrations will take place throughout the day. Exhibitions/workshops/information, business stands will line Market Square. Highlight of the day will be the grand procession making its way around Town Centre. This year IHWO will be working with 12 schools to produce the colourful structures. read more
