Our projects will enable hundreds of young people from deprived areas to access and enjoy an extensive 4 week constructive programme of interesting recreational and educational activities that will challenge stimulate and interest, many of which they are unable to usually afford because of their circumstances.
The community appreciate that hundreds of young people are occupied during the long holidays when they would be at a loose end which helps divert them from becoming involved in anti social behaviour, crime or being the victim of crime. Crime diversion themes such as drugs, bullying, gang issues will feature in many of the workshops. The young people will access many activities new to them.
There will be over 600 pre booked activity sessions and many additionally added when the projects are up and running. On site there will be workshops which will include computers, dance, arts and crafts, music, drama, photography, video, beauty, fashion, circus skills, face painting, singing, yoga and cookery.
