We provide a safe environment, where youth workers can offer advice and support to young people who are at the heart of our community. Engaging with young people through our many services we endeavour to help them achieve their full potential, to become active and informed members of the local community, benefiting the individuals, their families and society at large. Around town we engage with young people, by doing detached youth work and encouraging them to join in on youth club sessions.
Our vision is to promote the welfare of young people, their development and their fulfilment. Young people are encouraged to consider undertaking voluntary work, with appropriate training. We enable young people to engage in positive activities and involve them in programme planning and fundraising activities within their community. Our one to one mentoring in schools has improved attendance and attitudes to learning, with pupils becoming more responsive and willing to learn.
Volunteers required to help with our open access youth club sessions, term time starting in September 2012. Volunteer role includes helping to run the tuck shop and interacting with the young people. We also seek to recruit more members for our Management Board specifically with fundraising, human resources and website expertise. For more details contact the Level Two office on 01394-272521.
