We offer advice, information and youth club sessions for 11-19 year olds in Felixstowe.

Level Two Youth Project has been supporting young people in Felixstowe & surrounding villages since 2002. We provide a range of services designed to promote the personal and social development of young people. Day-time provision supports work with those at risk of exclusion from school and young unemployed. We also work with schools focussing on mentoring and health/relationship issues. After school and in the evenings we run open access youth club sessions, we also run holiday activities.

Why the community needs this charity

We provide a safe environment, where youth workers can offer advice and support to young people who are at the heart of our community. Engaging with young people through our many services we endeavour to help them achieve their full potential, to become active and informed members of the local community, benefiting the individuals, their families and society at large. Around town we engage with young people, by doing detached youth work and encouraging them to join in on youth club sessions.

Results and outcomes

Our vision is to promote the welfare of young people, their development and their fulfilment. Young people are encouraged to consider undertaking voluntary work, with appropriate training. We enable young people to engage in positive activities and involve them in programme planning and fundraising activities within their community. Our one to one mentoring in schools has improved attendance and attitudes to learning, with pupils becoming more responsive and willing to learn.
