SUPPORTING FAMILIES THAT HAVE CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AND ADDITIONAL NEEDS

Little Miracles is a parent led support group and Charity for families with children that have additional needs/ disabilities based in Peterborough. We run daily sessions at our centre at 15-17 Skaters Way, Werrington, Peterborough where the whole family is welcome to come and chat, play and socialise and engage in meaningful activities choosen by the families, for full details on what we have happening please check out our events page on www.littlemiraclespeterborough.org.uk

Why the community needs this charity

We support close to 400 families within the Peterborough area that have children with additional needs and disabilities. Thats 1400 children!Many of the families we work with are living in poverty as a result of caring for a disabled child and we support the whole family with meaningful activities for the children, benefits and grant advice for the parents and support for the whole family including bereavement support. Everything we do for the families is completely free for them.

Results and outcomes

For the families we work with Little Miracles is a life line we provide any support that they need regardless of what that may be.

Latest activities and projects

Sensory Garden - as designed by the children

The children have designed their own sensory garden down to what plants they want and making their own bird feeders and nesting boxes. The area will be fully wheelchair accessible and feature a variety of textures, smells and sounds to stimulate all of the senses. read more
