An Aladdin's cave of wonderful toys which help children's learning and development through play!

Our main aim is to enhance the lives of children and promote their development and education by providing access to good quality toys, games, resource books and play equipment suitable for children aged from a few months to early teens, including those with special needs or from minority groups. It helps children learn through play,gives advice to parents and carers on which toys are best for individual children and is fun!

Why the community needs this charity

Our two toy libraries benefit families and childcare groups with children from a wide variety of backgrounds. These include ones with disabilities or from minority ethnic groups, or single parent families. Many can't afford good quality toys or don't know which toys will help their children's development. We give children the opportunity to play with and then take home really good quality toys which have lots of play value,aimed at their individual age/stage and ability.

Results and outcomes

'I'm so glad we joined the toy library, there's a huge variety of toys to choose from.. It's a great way to test a toy before going out and buying one, and it helps children learn to share.I really like it when Hannah chooses the dolls house as I enjoy playing with it with her! I get to chat to the other mums, dads and grandparents, Hannah gets to make friends and we go home laden with toys to keep her entertained' Debbie (parent)
