MORE ARTS for Wokingham Borough Residents. Combat isolation by enabling arts activities and events.

The Cultural Partnership is a registered charity promoting and delivering arts and cultural activities in and around Wokingham Borough. Volunteers are at the heart of the charity, and together help to deliver more community cultural activities to combat isolation. More Arts aims to make life better for people of all ages and especially our most vulnerable residents.
Why the community needs this charity

With government cutbacks, keeping the arts at the heart of our community now requires personal donations and gifts. A little can go a long way in helping to provide materials for taster workshops and creative activities in empty shops, at festivals and other local events.

Results and outcomes

The Cultural Partnership combats isolation by bringing people together through arts, culture and heritage. More Arts projects include: Hands-on-Arts (artist-led workshops at local village fetes and festivals); Local Arts Loan (young people's artwork rented for display by local business); Wokingham Arts Trail (40+ artists,18 venues); exhibitions in empty shops (vibrancy & safety in neighbourhoods and town centres) and outreach activities especially for children in care, families and older people.

Latest activities and projects

Another empty shop has become a More Arts gallery; 20 Station Rd, Twyford.
