Promoting the VALUE & SIGNIFICANCE of every person, supporting community integration and social need

A Christian based organisation, MRCT was established in 1997 to provide voluntary work and social opportunities for people with a disability and people who are preceived as being disadvantaged through social difficulties and addictions. This is acheived through the work of Maybury Open Door in Harlow, a drop in facility open for four days a week and through the work of Harlow foodbank which provides emergency food for people in crisis in Harlow.
Why the community needs this charity

Harlow has become the 2nd most deprived authority in Essex and ranked 95th most deprived local authority in England, which puts it in the most deprived 30%. 22.45% children live below the poverty line, 9.4% of the population are unemployed with 4.5 Job Seekers Allowance claimants for every unfilled job. A wide range of people benefit from the work of MRCT from families with children and young people who use the foodbank to adults who use our day services with Maybury Open Door.
