Newbury Crossroads aim is to provide respite breaks for carers.

Newbury & District Crossroads Care were established in 1988; we are a local charity and provide short breaks in the home for Carers in West Berkshire. We employ a team of highly skilled workers and offer valuable respite care when Carers need a short break from their caring role.
Why the community needs this charity

Our services to the community include: CORE SERVICES (Respite service for Carers within their home), CHILDREN'S SERVICES (Services for children with Autism), RAPID RESPONSE (Help and planning in an emergency), FORGET-ME-NOTS (Respite day services for people with dementia), HOLIDAY HOME (Caravan at Butlins which is available for Carers), CARERS SUPPORT GROUP (Monthly meetings and social events for Carers), MENS GROUP (2x monthly meetings where men with dementia meet at a local pub for a pint)

Results and outcomes

We provide our services to about 230 carers on a regular basis and we also offer rapid response, which helps about 200 people in emergency.
