Helping You to Make Norfolk a Better Place

Norfolk Community Foundation aims to create a culture of giving that will change people's lives. We are a grant giving organisation for the county that awards grants to local groups and projects that are in real need of funding and that will make a real difference to the community and people they serve. We also provide a service to individuals, families, businesses and organisations who wish their charitable giving to have a lasting benefit in their local community.
Why the community needs this charity

We connect voluntary community groups and charities in Norfolk with a range of grant programmes to help them meet local need, and deliver activities that directly benefit disadvantaged, deprived and vulnerable people in their community. As an organisation working for Norfolk, we understand the particular issues facing individuals and communities in the county, and work with a range of donors to make funds available to the people and areas most in need, now and for the future.

Results and outcomes

In 2010 we awarded almost £1million in grants, with 378 different groups supported. We have built an endowment of over £4million thanks to the generosity of Norfolk's donors, and the match funding available from Government as part of the Grassroots Grants programme. In the 5 years since our launch, we have become one of the county's most dynamic and successful organisations, and one of the UKs leading Community Foundations.
