We offer professional confidential counselling to all those who seek our help

Mission To promote emotional, mental and spiritual health through the provision of professional person-centred counselling and opportunities for personal and professional development. Aims and Objectives - To offer professional confidential counselling to all those who seek our help regardless of their financial circumstances - To provide educational opportunities particularly in the field of counselling skills and personal development
Why the community needs this charity

We support the mental health of our local community by providing a professional, confidential counselling service and we will not turn anyone away for financial reasons. The majority of our clients are either unemployed, on benefits, or low incomes, and they can negotiate the fee they pay to reflect their financial resources. The full fee is £34 per session. Daytime slots are fully negotiable, evening slots (after 6pm) can be negotiated to a minimum of £25

Results and outcomes

In 2009 we helped 344 clients, the majority of whom live in NR2 and NR3 postcode areas. 10% of clients described themselves as having a disability and over 16% described themselves as having a long term health problem. More than 75% were either unemployed, retired, in education, or working in health or a public authority.
