Network of local Free Cakes for Kids groups

The aim of this project is to help set up more Free Cakes for Kids groups, and to create a national network of local groups. The next steps will be to create a mailing list for local organisers, to conduct a meeting of local group representatives to share ideas and to build an information pack and a starter kit. We also plan to visit new FCFK groups in their local community and offer telephone advice.
Why they need our service

Since we started Free Cakes for Kids in Oxford, about 50 individuals from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland have contacted us who want to start their local Free Cakes for Kids group.

Plan and expected results

In 2010, we helped 7 local Free Cakes for Kids groups starting up. For 2011, we wish to build a network of 15 local groups and for 2012 we aim to double this number to 30.
