BRINGING THE RAMSEY COMMUNITY CLOSER TOGETHER.
A village hall for use of the local community since the early 1900's in Ramsey, near Harwich, it is used by many local groups for educational and social activities. The committee is also responsible for a recreation ground sited at Wix Road, Ramsey.
Why the community needs usThe hall is used by many groups of all ages for various activities. It is used as a meeting place and for social events like bingo and coffee mornings. We have several regular groups using our facilites such as a Dance Academy, Camera Club, Yoga Group, Scottish Dancing and a Ramsey Ladies Club. The recreation ground is home to two local football teams and also a Youth FC. The hall provides a great meeting place in the village for the whole community.
Our impact on the communityThe community has joined together to help support our fundraising events and we are currently working on a project to bring a new Village Hall to our recreation ground. There really is a great sense of Community.
