To help blind and partially sighted people as full a life as fully sighted people through providing services to alleviate social exclusion and promote social interaction. Offering help and advice to assist members in accessing benefits and products designed to help them help themselves, as well as providing opportunities for employment, self acceptance and improvement, adventures and holiday.

Why the community needs this charity

We have over 1000 visually impaired people registered with RAB and of that number we work with and service just over 500. We help to avoid social exclusion and give our members a safe enviroment to come and enjoy various activities. We pride ourselves on having a welcoming atmosphere and always try our very best to encourage a "can do" situation.

Results and outcomes

Many of our members have learned crafts and activities that they would never have believed they could acheived. We are branching out into the technology world and helping the visually impaired be part of the Internet so that they can "stay in touch and move with the times"

Anniversary Sponsored Walk

We are holding a 5 and 10 mile sponsored walk in the Chilterns and would like people/businesses to either sponsor us and or join us to raise the vital funds that we require. Already confirmed walkers are MP Alok Sharma, The Purley Pathfinders, The Ghurkha's and many more. The more the merry so please consider coming along. read more
