Carers Programme

The project offers a range of activities including one-to-one support, 24/7 telephone support line, representing carers at local mental health committees and producing a regular newsletter.
Why they need our service

Carers of those with schizophrenia and other severe and enduring psychotic illnesses are often isolated and unsure where to gain help and support--the Rethink project seeks to help. The number of carers accessing our help increased by around 10% in 2010/2011.

Plan and expected results

The project has been running for several years and has a clear structure of events, information flow and crisis support delivered by people who themselves have experience of the issues the carers face.

Financial Help to Carers

From donations we receive, we look to provide financial assistance to those in real need such as patients moving into the community from hospital or supported accommodation. We help them in buying essentials like white goods, carpets, linen etc. read more
