Sam Leask Memorial Playground Fund

Carzield House - West Wing, Kirkmahoe, Dumfries, Dumfriesshire, DG1 1SY

Fundraising to improve children's playground facilities in Kirkton Village in memory of Sam Leask

Following the tragic death of our dear son Sam we wanted to try and do something positive in our community. Improving the playground in Kirkton Village would provide our family with a permanent reminder of how Sam touched many lives. As an active boy he always loved visiting playgrounds and it would be fantastic to think that we have all improved the facilities for other children in the community. Sam was a sensitive boy who planned to raise money for children in Africa when he got better.
Why the community needs this charity

This should provide a significant contribution to the lives of many children by giving them new play facilities in Kirkton Village Playground.

Julian and Tancred Lake District Sponsored Walk

Julian Leask and I have been best of friends for more than 20 years. I was fortunate enough to have Julian and Katharine's beautiful son, Sam as my Godson. Following sudden illness Sam died tragically on October 13th last year, despite radical surgery. From 21st-23rd of June, Jules and I are walking in the the Lake District, in memory of Sam. We aim to raise funds for the building of new children's play facilities in Kirkton village. Starting from Hawkshead, we aim to walk 10-15 miles per day. read more
