ST PETER'S CHURCH CRAFTS - BYERS GREEN

To keep our Church Hall open and available to the village through our Crafting activies which we carry our each Tuesday at the Church and also in our own homes.
Why the community needs this charity

There are many social benefits. We no longer have a bus service into or out of the village after 5 p.m. and with no local amenities there is nothing for the old or young to do. We try to have something every month be it entertainment or quiz nights. We also do some kind of refreshments on these nights. We hold a Coffee morning each Wednesday morning from 10 -12pm for social contact.

Results and outcomes

We have been exceptionally busy this year, to date we have been able to replace our old heating system pipes and replace with 5 radiators. We have also been able to replace the old bench seating with 24 folding chairs with a trolley to stack them on. Our next project is to purchase another 24 chairs and get rid of all our plastic stacking ones.
