Andy's London Marathon run

I have been running for 3 years and this is my first marathon. My training commenced on 13/12/2010 and I have been averaging up to 30 miles running per week. The London Marathon is a 26.2 mile run with over 30,000 other runners. I will splitting any donations equally between the Tilehurst Junior Youth Club and the Reading Woodcraft Folk.
Why they need our service

Andrew, a Tilehurst resident is running the London Marathon on 17th April 2011 to raise money for two local children's groups; 1. TILEHURST JUNIOR YOUTH CLUB (http://www.tilehurstjuniorclub.co.uk/) 2. READING WOODCRAFT FOLK (http://readingwoodcraftfolk.org.uk/). Andrew said "As a parent I have first hand experience of both these excellent groups and have witnessed the valuable contribution that they make to the local community."

Plan and expected results

Any donations made will be used to pay for equipment and activities run by Tilehurst Junior Youth Club. The Reading Woodcraft Folk will use money raised to support this years residential summer camp to be held in Kent in July.

Final Results

Andy is in training for the Marathon. He said, "Running for such good causes is motivating me to achieve a time under 4 hours. By supporting me you will be contributing to the excellent work undertaken by dedicated volunteers to nurture young people enhancing their physical, emotional and social well being."
