The Junior Leaders reflect the club membership coming from different backgrounds. The project gives young people a sense of achievement and an opportunity to learn new skills that they can use to gain employment. Volunteering gives them something positive to do and the opportunity to help others. They can achieve things that would not otherwise be possible at school.
The outcomes from your funding would be: Trained Junior Leaders supporting children in our core age group on Club Nights; Young People making decisions and taking on some responsibility for designing and implementing our programme on club nights; Junior Leaders with a range of new skills; Young People with access to Training eg: The nationally recognised Youth Achievement Awards; Developing new initiatives such as Healthy Eating on club nights.
