A joint venture of Anglicans, Methodists and Church Urban Fund - Working together to tackle poverty
Transformation Cornwall supports churches and groups of all denominations that are running or setting up community work in Cornwall. Our aim is to provide an infrastructure organisation that will provide support to groups who wish to respond to the needs of their community and want to tackle issues of: Poverty, Deprivation, Exclusion, Marginalisation and Isolation.
Why the community needs usTransformation Cornwall organises events to help projects find funding and put people and projects in touch with other in their area helping them to work together. Transformation Cornwall also assists with bid-writing and gives advice on how to start new work or how to develop existing projects so that they become sustainable. We also act as a bridge between local services and as a hub for sharing expertise and information.
Our impact on the communityWe strengthen connections between projects and churches tackling poverty to create support networks and build solidarity - bringing together church leaders, volunteers, and community and youth workers. Some of the projects which we are currently working with are the Falmouth Footsteps Coffee Shop and the Breakfast Club in Penzance to name just a few.
