Supporting community events

The Whitchurch Youth Project - We provide a community youth club for 10-14 years olds.

Chill 2 This is a youth group for children 10-13 living in Whitchurch and surrounding areas, providing activities to promote their physical and mental capacities, in a safe and secure environment.
Why the community needs this charity

We are the Whitchurch Youth Project and have been running for six years now in a rural environment. The aim of this project is to provide a safe, caring, welcoming, user friendly environment to all young people in the Whitchurch locality. The youth club aims to provide many regular and stimulating activities that promote well-being, physical exercise, confidence and engagement with others in their community.

Results and outcomes

We have a large indigenous youth population in Whitchurch and attract a great number of youths from the surrounding area, predominately due to the secondary school, and the large rural area it serves. The downside is that the youth in our community lack facilities and opportunities. We want to build upon the success of the Whitchurch Youth Project and ensure that our members maintain adesire to attend and broaden the fitness, cultural and social opportunities that we provide.
