Somewhere to go - a safe, welcoming space at one of our 25 youth clubs across Bristol. Something to do - positive activities, including sport, creative activities and outdoor pursuits, that engage and challenge young people, promote healthy life styles, so offering the opportunity to grow, develop and learn about themselves, their peers and the world around them. Someone to talk to - positive relationships with adults and peers that give young people a sense of belonging and acceptance.
During 2010 a record 6,000 young people have enjoyed and benefited from more than 900 activity sessions at our Pooles Wharf outdoor activity centre Our volunteer team has placed 1800 young people into a volunteer opportunity and helped to create 4500 volunteering opportunities. This city-wide network of clubs work in some of the most challenging areas of the City. They have a collective membership of over 2500 providing over 30 nightly sessions, and engage with 1000 young people per week
We need people who are willing and able to support young people in our clubs across the city; volunteering to join the management committee, being an activity instructor or being prepared to meet and greet the young people that attend the clubs
