Nottinghamshire Community Foundation (NCF) is an independent charity, set up to encourage philanthropy for the benefit of the people in Nottinghamshire. Our unique approach to philanthropy allows individuals and businesses to support their own specific local interests and causes and in doing so invest in the future of their community.
The foundation acts as a 'broker' between people who care about their local community and the wide range of voluntary organisations, community groups and local charities who do the hands-on work to make a real difference where we live.
We are a dynamic, innovative organisation with long-term vision to establish a permanent, independent and flexible source of local funds, which can respond to changing community issues.
Our concept is simple
We provide the means for individuals and organisations to establish their own charitable 'funds' which benefit local people. We offer all the pleasure of giving without any of the hassle. Many different fund holders do their charitable giving through the community foundation, because we have the flexibility to tailor-make a fund to suit each donors desire enabling them to give money to whoever and wherever they would like to.
We have funded many groups including
Edwards Lane Music Club, Nottinghamshire Clubs for Young People, FC Interski, Jigsaw Youth Club, Woodside Farm Stables Riding for the Disabled, Bassetlaw Trampoline Club, Rev and Go, Friends of Ravenshead Day Centre
Last year Nottinghamshire Community Foundation
Worked with over 1250 organisations, making more than 750 grants of between £50 and £30,000 totalling £3.2 million. By supporting these local organisations we were able, through them, to make a difference in over 50,000 people's lives in our community
Our Mission Statement
We are committed to improving the quality of life of the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by raising and managing funds for distribution in response to local needs.
