Lena's Lion 2015 challenge

Finished. Thank you all for your support My main goal was to run as far as I could in 24 hrs. I aimed for 100 miles. I completed this on 19/20 September 2015 at Belvoir Castle (EQUINOX24) when I ran 100.9 miles in 23:38:20 But that isn't all, Throughout the year I will have other challenges including; A runstreak (running at least a mile a day) for as many days as possible (only 2 days to go covering over 2000 miles already) Ironman Uk 19/06/2015 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run all within 17 hours. COMPLETE 19/07/2015 15:38:32 Ripon Lions volunteer and organise the Santa sleigh throughout December to bring joy to the people of Ripon and surrounding villages with Santa and Christmassy songs, they are all local folk who give their time to raise funds to help local causes, some high profile fundraising like helping the Jenny Unwin appeal , Harrogate eye scanner and many small causes that you may not realise, providing a cooker or a washer for someone who is struggling, a computer for a child who has not got one, a Christmas party for the elderly and kit for a sports team, helping provide defibulators and helping hedgehogs. Ripon Lions do not just volunteer in December, they volunteer and have coffee mornings, bike rides, collect for other charities, all year round, giving their time to help others. Every month at the Lions meeting there are more and more letters from people needing a little help to make their lives easier. In order to help more local people, I am fundraising for Ripon Lions in 2015. Thank you for your support and generous donations, every £ helps a local person. I enjoy running, (since I was 40, 8 years ago) and like to use that to raise money for people less fortunate than me. If you never push your limits, how will you ever know what your limits are?
