Localgiving.com Match Funds support UK communities by matching donations made to local charities through our website. We want to make a greater impact in UK communities by encouraging individuals to donate to local charitable organisations. The idea is that everyone can make a difference: a £10 donation really matters to a small, local charity struggling to survive. And doubling your donation means doubling the impact on your community, where you can see the difference you’ve made.
Here’s how it works:
£20 Donation example
+ £20 Matched by the Localgiving.com Match Fund
+ £ 5 Gift Aid for UK taxpayers
£45
After the administrative fee and standard payment processing fee, your £20 donation with Gift Aid means the charity of your choice will receive £43.02! A £20 donation without Gift Aid means the charity of your choice will receive £38.32.
Since our Match Fund pilot in May 2011, £2m has been raised for hundreds of local charities across the UK.
We happily announce our upcoming Localgiving.com May Match Fund, a series of Match Funds across several local communities around the UK. From 14th May 2012 we’ll be at it again, matching donations £ for £.
Please note that the May Match Fund has been rescheduled to begin at 1 pm Monday 14th May due to an unprecedented amount of visitors to the website at 9 am the morning of the Match.
